LOOKING FORWARD TO 2022…. X30 Price Decrease & New Tyres!
Following a solid and successful year for IAME, we look now to 2022 and what that means for the X30 classes…
Engine & Parts Price Slashed!
As we have passed through the financially uncertain times of Brexit, and had a year to understand the implications that has had on importing, we are delighted to announce that there will be a price decrease in the X30 parts and engines, a reduction of at least 13%!
The NEW engine package price will now be £1999 +vat for Mini, Junior & Senior engines and will be applicable from 01January 2022.
New Tyres… The Facts!
The X30 categories will see changes to their tyres; Senior moving to a medium compound (K2M) which in testing has proven very popular with the drivers, showing consistent lap times even after 170 laps!!! With the Mini & Junior moving to a new hard compound (K2H), the former Senior tyre. Seniors will start to use the new tyre from 01 January 2022 but there will be an overlap for Mini & Junior until 31 March, with the Clubs deciding which tyre they wish to use. The wet tyre will remain the same.
Tyres have been a hot topic lately, given the shortages that have been impacting our competitor. Luckily, we have not been effected by this issue as we were able to secure orders early on in the year, allowing us to have a healthy stock at all times, even helping our competitors out at their time of need. These shortages have been due to the lack of raw materials, which has had an effect on the cost of producing the tyres. This, added to the rise in shipping container costs, has left us very restricted when it comes to tyre pricing. Our manufacturer has forecast a 11% increase in the tyre price. We have, however, secured enough stock to see us through until the end of June for both the Mini/Junior (K2H) and Senior (K2M) slick tyre at which point the increase will start to be applied. To help simplify the pricing, we have made the K2H and K2M the same price, meaning a small price increase for the K2H but this will still be the most cost effective Option and Prime tyre on the market.
As from 01 January 2022, the new price for K2H/K2M will be £137.50 and the wet tyres will be £149.00. We will continue to work and negotiate with the tyre manufacturer to acquire the best rate to help minimise the cost increase going forward.
As I’m sure you will agree, the changes we have made for 2022 for the X30 will maintain the class’ benchmark of being the most cost effective categories on the market. With the NEW prices and the ease of transition between categories with minimal cost along the way, it’s easy to see why X30 retains it’s popularity.
